WHO UHURU KENYATTA SHALL ENDORSE 2022 - ORENGO SPEAKS.

Clearly, the corridors of power have started speculating. Gradually the clock is fast ticking. Politics is soon taking a rather unprecedented  curve that will see the soil's phenotype on matters general elections largely bode imperviously to shape the 8th placed economy - rated country amid 54 recogonised and 2 disputed African states on the political arena  and presidency succession front.

James Aggrey Bob Orengo, who signs off as senator, Siaya county holds some queer yet almost close to real and swift - in - conviction sentiments regarding Kenya's future political curvature. The lawyer and activist does presumably think that H.E Uhuru Kenyatta shall go ahead to baffle many if not the entire Kenyan netizenry. His pick from the pack shall be rather unexpected and largely mystifying to the public eye.

"At the end of the day, we are saying that the leadership of H.E  Uhuru Kenyatta and R.H  Raila Amollo Odinga is going to produce the next president of the republic of Kenya," reiterated senate minority leader.

Senator Orengo hypothesizes the aforenentioned information in line with Uhuru's earlier remarks that shows even our incumbent Mr. President is sure of breaking hearts, certain to shape Kenya's future and progressive in his agenda towards enabling the country cement its mark as a highly rated middle income country within Africa before 2025.

"I am glad when  president Uhuru Kenyatta said he was going to surprise people in Jubilee as to who is going to be the next president of Kenya. He was saying that, knowing that William Ruto is his veep. And that surprise according to us, practically and for all reasons is Raila Amollo Odinga," affirms James Orengo.

The once SDP party chair also opines that Kenya shall orchestrate yet another referendum fete to adress the petty shortcomings of our current constitution. He staunchly holds the rare belief that whatever changes the government and minority group agreed upon back in 2010 shall be effected sooner after Uhuru's successor becomes apparent to the citizenry.

"We are going to have a referendum which I think will adress the 20% of the constitution that we had agreed in 2010 that; there were areas that needed attention," said the 3rd runners up in 2002 presidential election contention.

Kenya as a nation has done very well when it comes to building bridges. James Orengo thinks the initiative shall ostebsibly go a long way in restoring the nation's former glory while creating a platform from which peaceful elections, co - operation between our government and opposition encompassing still even  the private political framework shall all flourish to contribute towards better ideas for a better tomorrow. A better Kenya.

2022 general elections are set to be the most intriguing this state has ever whitnessed.  DP William Ruto has an ally to whom he is owed a political debt which stands as an agreement binding the both -  whitnessed by close to 40 million Wanjirus exluding a terryfying magnitude of  Eastmonds from diferent peripheries of global states the world over. Because of this, he is very much in contention.

The influential Gideon Moi, Maendeleo chap chap leader Alfred Mutua, presumably Sultaan 001 among the likes of tiny personalities who have earned credible popularity in the recent past including Ekuru Aukot are in my opinion the most probable figures in Election 2022 starting Xl.

Orengo ran for presidency in 2002 for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) but finished 4th with just 0.4% of the votes. His party lost all of her parliamentary places, as many SDP leading personalities had joined the NARC coalition. He was still strong as SDP chair in 2007 before joining ODM later on.

He got sworn in to office in 2013 after emerging victorious for Senetorial second - in - command - after -gubernatorial - leader,  C- in- C  position  Siaya county.

DON'S STRIKE CONTINUES UNABATED - KUSU SEC. GEN AFFIRMS UNION'S STANCE.

The underway public varsities lecturers' strike that has seen education suffer paralysis in our Kenya's institutions of higher learning is still very far from ending.

UASU secretary general affirms that the strike is very much on. He blames the government  for acting unscrupulous, causing unrest and torment to over  0.6 million university students.

" The strike is still on. We highly empathize with students affected. However we have made our demands, the government has not come up with a counter offer. Something that shows they are not taking this matter with the seriousness it deserves. The strike will continue until the 2017 - 2021 CBA is negotiated, implemented and money banked. " Reiterated Mr. Constantine Wesonga few minutes shy of 11: 00 pm Monday April 10.

The dons  staged  4 strikes in the year 2017 alone. The current stalemate has seen the semester dated from February 19 disrupted for close to two months now. Students who were set for internship no longer know of their fate as issues stand.

One Mr. Charles Godfrey Mukhwaya, who signs off as KUSU secretary General also expressed his sentiments towards campus students' misfortune. Albeit his sympathetic ambience, he ratifies that lecturers shall not be cowed. Neither shall they relent in their quest to have government hear them out.

" The strike was on. Is on. And will remain on. Only one university (U.O.N) had their staff exempted from lawfully exercising the strike. The campus had their staff  working despite the union's strike through a court order - one which we appealed and their staff too have now joined in the Nationwide university lecturers' strike."  Mr. Mukhwaya stated.

It is somewhat lackluster of the government. They have not negotiated nor tabled a counter proposal, something that much irks the union.

Both UASU and KUSU delegates adsorbed their dissatisfaction towards central government. The manner by which government is handling matters salaries and renumeration of their members somehow baffles the unions' leaders. The ministry earlier yesterday via Cs Amina Mohammed unleashed placement of the 2017 KCSE graduates.
It ironically dismays the state when the affected ministry directs vitality  in other issues while completely doing zero to rectify the don's incessant and unending now and then go slows.

According to the union, until government tables a counter offer, the strike shall continue valid and unscathed. Mr. Wesonga further advised students to go home, give the lecterers 2 years to sort out issues with the authorities.

" Students, go back home, give us one year, two years to sort out our issues with the government. We shall have no other strike. We want our issues cemented once and for all. No longer shall we go back to the streets again. We want an array of well - calculated strategies that will cement the issue permanently.

However it has come to mind that we have a very shoddy and uncouth system as government. Uhuru seems to be touring other states, as if Kenya has no internal problems and externalities affecting her. And worst as if the people he put in place to watchdog Kenya's interests are doing so well.

Pathetic they are. We have very high professionals as cabinet secretaries. Very learned. With multiple degrees to their credit. Master -  at story telling But who know not what they are doing.

"STRAIGHT OUTTA CELLS" - MORE THAN 5000 INMATES TO WALK FREE BY END MAY.

More than 5000 petty offenders shall smell not of prison medieval levels of squalor come end may.

This is after High court judge Luka  Kimaru; who signs off as national chairman of the Community Service Orders (CSO) ruled in favour of prisoners in a  lubber measure to see prison circles decongested.

The affected inmates shall be released from the period dating 15th April to end May.

Only petty offenders and those with  long term sentences but have served to see off a huge chunk of their sentences reduced to three months or less shall be considered.

"These are basically petty offenders serving a sentence of three years and below. Or who were sentenced to longer periods but have a sentence of 3 years or less remaining," said Justice Kimaru.

Privy, the one month long exercise shall be undertaken by CSO officers, probation and aftercare service officials, as well as those from the prisons and Judiciary.

The  "men who appeared atop the scaffold" that are deemed beneficiaries of the above action  will be released and integrated into community work.

Counties that are to witness highest numbers of convicts released within the aforementioned time span include Nairobi county (624), Eldoret ( 429), Mombasa county (336), Kiambu county (288), Nakuru (282), Kisumu (204), and 199 convicted individuals from Kisii, Bommet and Trans Nzoia.

Lowest number of petty offenders emanate from counties including Migori (49), Siaya (45), Tana River (44), Vihiga county (40), Garissa (40) and Marsabit which will see 26 individuals off penal institutions' perimeters.

Cringe worthy it is to note that none in this bracket of offenders shall be set free from Nyamira and TaitaTaveta counties.

The above set of individuals once released from prison will be sent to their homes. The government lobbies for national unity  as well as family unity through such a programme. Albeit fostering unity alone, the measure shall see the released individuals clear rifts and reconcile with the offended community.

One consortium dubbed Criminal Justice System Audit (CJSA)  carried out  a retrospective survey and published its report in 2017. According to their findings, every two years, more than four million netizens are arrested and detained.

32% of these arrests are converted to charges in courts of law. 70% of the above charges are related directly to petty offences.

The CSO Act was adopted and established by legislators through an act of parliament. Its reason for set up largely being to find a way of addressing challenges in prison, most significantly on matters congestion.

Our Kenya  is hugely affected as far as accomodation of prisoners is concerned. Penal institutions are brimming with an astounding number of 55,000 prisoners against a possible holding capacity of only but 32,000.

The programme to offset cells of inmates has largely helped the government in saving cash it would have otherwise used to cater for prisoners' welfare. It is also a wide measure in curbing contagious illnesses that normally cause chaotic stumbles within prison walls.

PUBLIC UNIVERSITY DONS VERY UNSCRUPULOUS AND SELFISH.

Without scruple, public university  lecturers' are holding staunch stances on matters  strike. The Kenyan gentry dons are exercising an underway strike that has seen education in public campuses paralysed for almost 2 months now.

Most if not all would concur that the higher education practitioners are unorthodox and uncouth, especially after judge Makau termed the ongoing strike as illegal, unlawful and unprotected.

Photo courtesy; Education Cs. Amina                            Mohammed AFP.

Notwithstanding, the 22 public campuses' staff have since held their grounds and are still yelling solidarity, thinking not of Students nor their parents.

Have you thought of parents, the figures they've had to part with while settling their kids for school? The numbers  of hours wasted for public campus students. The humongous dreams you squash and  stacks of ambitions you make crumble with your shoddy unprecedented  now and then strikes. Oh I forget, you have your lives all worked out, and not for a second do you relax to think of other persons' ?

An array of strikes blossomed  the academic year 2016/2017. With lecturers' holding a duo- go slow during the aforementioned year. This has translated to the current 2018 now, with the dons issues proving cringe- vital as it stands.

Barely less than 3 weeks ago, University Academic Staff Union (UASU) alongside other affiliate bodies denounced a court order. The "teachers by profession" guys had no scruples about muttering a loud bewildering NO to judge Makau's verdict. An action they feel no sorry about. One they executed without compunction whatsoever.

Constantine Wesonga, who signs off as secretary general UASU reiterates that the union should not be confused for being egocentric, but the guy feels public campus lecturers' are suffering a disorder best known to him as " discrimination".

"Why are the highest and most learned academic staff (professors) not in the highest job group? So who is supposed to be there if the most learned aren't there?" Wesonga lamented.

Privy, Cs Amina Mohammed feels there exists a lot of creepy issues which overwhelm  and continue to cripple smooth operation of public university academics. She too feels lecturers' are behaving in  somewhat of an unorthodox and archaic manner.

" When the country set up the SRC, it was agreed that it will be the guiding pillar in salary determination. But the lecturers don't want to be guided by the same body, " she said.

It has come of wind that some public universities actually implemented the CBA 2017 - 2021  in full, but then others didn't comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement's set codes of conduct, such including submission of payroll data to the ministry by all public campuses. Now, Amina Mohammed is aware and promises to get to the seabed of the issue through look and crook.

Ms. Amina has sprung up some measures including the  establishment of a probe which will dig into the matter and  issue out a concise report within a month dating from 18th March 2018.

Suffice is to say things will remain as they stand on matters education in public universities at least until 20th April 2018, a point at which the ministry will decide on the most possible option going forward.

Comrades are vacating university premises, leaving them vacuum- empty with the aforementioned eluding pangs of academic hunger that has left their hopes of clearing higher learning as per their admissions' stipulations grow leaner by day.

KALONZO MUSYOKA; THE BIGGEST LOSER WITHIN NASA'S CRUMBLED WALLS.

Wiper Democratic Movement has witnessed its chief Mr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka's political career suffer the worst of drubbings in history.

The aforementioned individual has watched his visions as far as Kenyan politics is concerned maimed. Something that has left him crippled if not wounded and he would never fancy extending not even an ounce of forgiveness nor pity towards his perpetrators. Especially one Mr. Raila Odinga.

With the traitor- effect of  Mr. Raila Odinga;  the ex chief of the National Super Alliance, it almost beats logic to think of  the former vice president rekindling his hopes of ever becoming politically viable in a more unprecedented yet conspicuous political front.

So what next for the former deputy president? What can be his best strategy on matters charting his political agendas going forward? With Raila Odinga off his shadows's proximity, and Moses Wetangula having job security to his claim, is it any wrong terming the " watermelon"  nicknamed guy the loser?

We wouldn't go down the road comparing and contrasting Kalonzo and Mudavadi. This is because the latter has never had any serious political ambitions since time in memorial.

Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula was irked by a weird and unorthodox move opposition leaders took early march. The outspoken  senator was dropped as leader of minority and Siaya senator James Orengo replaced at the helm of corridors of opposition's power.

"The shepherd has turned wolf to his flock. Instead of protecting them, " this were Wetangula's grievances as he bemoaned Raila's misdeeds.
I opine that Wiper leader ought to be singing a similar aubade. Grieving and mourning for his political career is just but close to hitting the wall head on.

The guy is victim of making wrong choices time and again. It is worthwhile to note Mr. Kalonzo made the best decision only once in his political life to date. This was in 2007 when he ganged up with retired president Hon. Emilio Mwai Kibaki to become Kenya's  tenth vice president.

In 2013 general elections, the guy did choose his cards bad, teaming up with Raila in CORD. The two lost this time round to UHURUTO, and this was the focal point from which Mr. Musyoka should have stood on his own.A way from Raila's ghosts.

Notwithstanding, the guy went ahead in 2017 to support Raila Odinga as his running mate yet again. And their ambition to land in Statehouse was once again botched.

The guy he almost but all  put his faith in has now crossed over to reconcile with president Uhuru Kenyatta. This was a good move on matters national unity. Albeit the merits of such an action by Raila, the act comes as awful and so irritating in Kalonzo's ear.

Could Mr. Musyoka ostensibly revamp his  status on matters Kenyan politicking? Could the guy surprise us come 2022 general elections? Is this the end of former Dp's political future? Do Kenyans still fancy the guy as staunch and rigid enough to spearhead the country  as state's president? Personally I doubt.

Either way, only time would tell. However as things stand, Mr. Musyoka's hopes along the corridors of power are very meagre and continue to grow dismal and minute  by day. Only seconds, minutes and piles of hours would tell  how far the guy could possibly chart his political foci in the foreseeable future.

HAS THE JUDICIARY NO POWER OVER TOP GOVERNMENT OFFICERS?

Miguna Miguna's shoddy embarrassment by Kenyan police was one that made headlines  on  March 27.

The unfolding at the JKIA proved the police as barbaric implementers of the law. Following the melee, the Judiciary found Mr Miguna, inspector of police Joseph. K. Boinnet, chief immigration principal Gordon Kihalang'wa and Cs interior Matiangi all breachers of the law in one way or another.

The rational individuals were all set to appear atop the scaffold. However they violated a court order dated Wednesday March 28, 2018.

Judge Odunga went ahead on Thursday March 29, irked by the three government individuals excluding Mr. Miguna, to turn the attention of the Milimani law courts to Mr Boinnet and team's refusal to oblige by a court order.

Mr. Matiangi, inspector Boinnet and one Mr. Gordon Kihalang'wa were to appear before court in the morning of 29th March. Something they allegedly denounced, citing they were engaged at a particular GSU pass out ceremony. Albeit their absentia, the guys did send representatives to the courthouse in their stead.

Many at times impunity has  stood out as an act of the gentry, with top politicians and government officials refuting orders from the Judiciary wing of government without scruple whatsoever. Such issues ostensibly bring to light the issue of the amount of power the aforementioned arm of government possesses.

Who are these guys? Aren't the persons' under obligation to obey court orders just as any other common mwananchi? Are they immune? Why should a lay netizen be apprehended, arraigned before court and convicted amid stringent public prosecutors. And the same not done to politicians and top government affiliates?

" state officers cannot continue to act in contempt, going on with their own business while cat - walking on court orders."  Reiterated a soft-spoken judge Odunga at the Milimani.

The judge ordered Matiangi and allies to appear before the court on Thursday 29. Something the pro -government persons failed to honor.

" The three are hereby convicted accordingly and should appear before this court tomorrow at 10 am," Justice Odunga ruled.

According to Mr. Odunga, anyone who feels superior than the law is a criminal. By default, such individuals should face lethargic repercussions and have the Constitution deal with such accordingly.

"It is my considered view that those who disobey should face the consequences, and courts are empowered to uphold the rule of law," justice Odunga added citing it was not the first of instances Dr. Matiangi failed to abide by a court order, the latter having being penalized in the recent past for a similar misconduct.

Justice believes it is high time those who retaliate and violate the Kenyan Constitution are held to account.

Should it be taken that such guys are hotcakes. Untouchables. Invincibles, now that it appears they are close to the president. Now that the C.in.C is the one who appointed them, are they not vulnerable to the snares of the law?  Is it suffice to say they  follow no protocol whatsoever meriting to their sky high posts?

Lawyers representing the National Super Alliance sang an aubade of justice simultaneously with judge Odunga. One that condemns such uncouth behavior which Lampoons societal values and ethics. The lawyers led by  Siaya senator James Orengo held somewhat similar sentiments with the Judiciary personnel.
Photo courtesy; interior Cs                             Matiang'i AFP.

In his own view, Mr Orengo categorically feels the "denouncers" should be charged 200,000 shillings each for such gross misconduct. He also opines that the guys who were slated for the chambers should have the monies drawn from their own pockets. Not from public funds. Such would make them feel the weight and pangs of their jittered actions, as well as act as a deterrent.

RAILA TAKES RISK TO AVERT BLOODSHED. AND GIDEON MOI IS PROUD OF THE GUY.

Gideon Moi, all smiles, believes that ex NASA chief Raila Odinga took one bold but ferocious step on matters national unity and cohesion.

This was after the latter's meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambee house that saw the face of Kenyan politics revitalized and sandwitched within tender sculpts of oneness and unity.

Raila Odinga welcomed humility to give up a long - persistent fight with Kenya's majority party alias government. His meeting with president Kenyatta was ostensibly used in  revamping friendship and burying  a hatchet that the  former prime minister and  current president  respectively had. Blocking way for a number of developments in our Kenya.

It is understood that both the lads were keen on reconciling and forgetting a rift brought by their fathers and which has stood since time in memorial.

" The formation we will have from 2022 going forward will be one of inclusivity and one that will foster unity while shaping Kenya's political landscape," said Gideon Moi.

The Baringo Senator believes Kenya shall be singing one aubade of unity. He affirms that unity is much vital as it concerns a state's progress. He also believes Raila's risk of toppling over to the other side of the political divide shall categorically harness peace and resolve conflicts amid reducing violent scenes we as Kenyans have suffered  and witnessed in the recent past.

" Unity is paramount going forward. We ought to speak unity, act unity, exercise unity at whatever cost. No longer shall we witness fights, violence and bloodshed capitulating from political divisions."

While appreciating Kenyans'  support through their continued prayers for his dad - former retired president Daniel Arap Moi on matters his health, Senator Gideon Moi extended a hand of support to whomever and whichever persons interested in fostering the nation's oneness and unity.

" I appreciate all who have not been forgetting my dad in prayers. We flew him to Israel for medical check up and his health is improving by day. Similarly, we in KANU are people who support others and support ideas. We support such efforts aimed at bringing on board all Kenyans despite their different political inclinations and where every citizen feels part of the Kenyan fabric,"  added Moi junior.

Senator said that KANU's ultimate prayer was that the path and direction charted by the president and 2017 National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer resorts to renewed patriotism in the foreseeable future as divided states cannot prosper.

" Where people are united, they can pull together in Nation building. The development is in line with KANU's ideals and philosophy of unity."  Senator Gideon spoke.

Notwithstanding, the Senator was quick in realising that national unity remains crucial in leading the nation towards its progress and prosperity.

"The deal will help heal the political fragmentations in the country so that Kenyans can move forward as one,"  said Gideon Moi.

He also sees the pact formed by Jubilee's Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga as one that will enhance social and economic growth while fostering a plain table on which development of this nation can be outlaid.

" The move will enable Kenyans attain both social and economic prosperity," reiterated the Baringo Senator.

The nation will for once focus on its development. We are done with the days when rabble's of young people would take to the streets. Fight  in capacity of supporters for their leaders sake. Shed a lot of blood, lose a lot of precious lives.

Do you for once fancy what the outcome would have been were Raila Odinga to remain adamant in pushing for the people's government? Do you think of the humongous stashes of bodies and scores of victims we would have witnessed without this two guys' intervention. And I call it divine intervention for that matter.

Either way, the country has had a looming catastrophe averted. One that would have left us sorry and transfixed rather baffled.

WETANGULA VOWS TO AVENGE RAILA'S MISBEHAVIOR.

A melange of tender emotions engulfed the  collapsed National Super Alliance (NASA) with RAILA'S decision to join UHURUTO's Jubilee.

Revenge is a dish best served cold . This is the consoling proverb the remaining NASA co-associate principals have been left with. With their former chief misbehaving in a manner that provoked hot air within the the three orphaned allies in Wetangula, Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Wetangula said that the move by NASA ex- chief was ambiguous, uncouth, unorthodox and cringe- archaic. He alluded it to a shepherd who ran riot on his flock, mauling the sheep instead of protecting their interests.

" The sheep had been worried about the wolf in the bush but it ended up being eaten by the Shepherd," a rabble and sad Wetangula bemoaned while speaking in Chwele.

He reiterated that the remaining opposition leaders would not have their political careers subjected to jeopardy. Neither would they be left in a state of limbo by "God knows what"  type of traitor.

He added that  Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and himself  were prepared to barricade Raila's political footpaths and take him head on.

Raila's act to elude  the now crumbled NASA was in a bid to fend for his own selfish wants and interests. According to Wetangula, that Raila opted to attend a two- man meeting with president Kenyatta wasn't in capacity of NASA chief but as an ODM leader.

" We are going to make them uncomfortable and they are going to feel the discomfort. He has gone to Jubilee as ODM and not as NASA." An infuriated Moses muttered.

Privy, Raila called Wetangula and friends cowards for not attending the dummy -  presidency oath held at Uhuru Park on January 30.

Wetangula however terms the aforementioned allegations as an insult, unfounded and with no basis whatsoever since according to Moses, it was Raila who directed the other opposition leaders to hold fire, stay put and only come to the function as rescue team in case things went bad for the former prime minister.

" Them calling us cowards because we did not attend an oath that has no meaning is totally disrespectful. He told us to stay away and come to his rescue when things go bad but now, he has turned against us," Wetangula stipulated.

The " leftovers" of the NASA coalition affirm Raila was looking for non existent reasons to paint them in bad light.

The aforementioned pack of  opposition leaders, orphaned, believe Raila misbehaved and acted with no compunction whatsoever, adding that so many of Kenyans who were busy chanting pro- Raila slogans would feel not short of ashamed by Baba's traitor actions.

"The subsequent actions by our 2017 presidential candidate was wanting. Many people lost their lives; others injured while some lost property because they were fighting for his cause. Only for him to betray them,"  Wetangula added.

He firmly confirms that NASA leaders were never opposed to dialogue. That was something they were much willing to do and championed for.

Wetangula is now planning a political revanche. One that shall ostensibly be used to revamp and cement the place of the Luhya community in matters national politics and most especially on ballot in the foreseeable future.

" We now want to unite the Luhya community so that we move and speak with one voice and that our voice on ballot is heard and very well respected,"  Wetangula said amid a staunch seconding by Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati.

It now baffles the political atmosphere. Which direction will the opposition take? Will the side remain robust in watchdogging the central government's activities. Will Wetangula, Kalonzo and Mudavadi be firm now that the guy who initially stood up to condemn government's misdeeds has now toppled to the other side of the political devide?

Talk less politics, deliver more on infrastracture- Uasin Gishu

Photo courtesy, Sugutek residents repairing An impassable section of a road

Uasin Gishu county has been making national headlines for all the wrong reasons.  Lead by outspoken county chief, Jackson Mandago and Kapseret lawmaker, Oscar Sudi the duo have formed a political tag team that not only drive the political agenda but sets political scores. A calm environment is yet to engulf the county as governorship succession talks, market evictions and Moi University vice chancellor politics took centre stage.

“We shall cut all trees in Moi university if we have to if professor Kosgey isn’t appointed vice chancellor" this were the words of one Mr Oscar Sudi, Kapseret MP. This was in a much beefed- up ambition to refute appointment of Prof Laban. P. Ayiro as the acting VC Moi University. Led by governor Mandago in defending ‘the son of the soil’ by claiming Prof. Kosgey clinched first place in the interview, scoring 76% compared to Ayiro's 70%.This opened up the Pandoras box, raising more questions than answers; were they part of the interviewing panel now that they seemed to know who emerged position what? A clear indication of the hidden hand of politics in the Vice Chancellor’s succession which was brought to a conclusive end last week with the appointment of Prof. Kosgey

While the leaders have been busy politicking, the state of infrastructure in the region is deplorable. It has been the point of weakness in most of the interior parts of Uasin Gishu.
The smooth Eldoret-Nakuru highway shouldn’t be used as a point of reference on matters infrastructure since it’s under the Kenya National Highways Authority ( KENHA), under supervision of the national government.

Places likes Chebarus, Sugutek, Kesses, Lesos and Moi University main campus stage area categorically are blossoming with deplorable roads. The road networks linking remote areas are impassable courtesy of potholes, rugged terrain, muddy slippery loose-surfaces ; this has dire ramifications on business.

Residents of Kesses constituency have bemoaned the poor state of their roads for long. It beats logic how leaders talk politics while overlooking such a situation;  which should be top of their manifesto.

The situation in and around Moi University Main campus is no different. Students have to get used to the constant mid-air balancing to move from one point to another across slippery surfaces during rainy seasons

Speaking at a past UN International Anti - corruption Day at Nandi Park, governor Mandago reiterated that the county government  has put in place unprecedented measures to wipe out corruption. What of infrastructure Mr. Governor? Any plans?

According William Kogo, a MU 84 sacco driver “the matatu industry suffers low returns during rainy spells with limited trips and a lot of wear and tear increasing our operation costs thus reducing our profit margins, the county government should spread their development tentacles here residents since Tulwet, Kapserton, Koisagat are also part of this society" He said.

Cheptiret-Moi University road has been in a sorry state for a good number of years with numerous potholes. Whenever the County delegates are queried on the issue, they shift the blame to the national government claiming the road belongs to KENHA not the county government
.
Development of the road networks would certainly improve economic activities in the region opening the vast unexplored hinterland revamping the economic status of Uasin Gishu dwell less in politics in the foreseeable future. Thank you.
